WHy recurrent
There is an opportunity to build a successful for-profit social enterprise that delivers a high quality pedal assist bike share experience, accessible by all city residents at an affordable price. This unique solution is delivered in such a way that it generates a wealth of social benefits for the city and its residents along with private benefits for both residents and businesses.
Our Mission
reCurrent’s mission is to provide city residents with renewed freedom and greater well-being by enabling more choice, convenience, connection and calm in the way they move about their daily lives. We strive to redefine how urban communities move throughout a city by delivering convenient, smart, electric hybrid bicycle sharing services that:
avoid the stress and frustration of traffic and parking congestion,
encourage positive community interaction and local economic engagement,
foster more active lifestyles that improve health and well-being, and
lessen our environmental impact through reduced GHG emissions.
I have worked with a small team to develop the initial phase of this new transit network. Our desire is to offer cities and their residents an expansion of multimodal transportation networks using our modern solution of intelligently connected bicycles spread throughout urban areas. Our pedal-assisted electric bicycles will shrink a city for our customers, reducing travel time and letting them cut through congested roadways. They will flatten a city by giving riders an electric boost up hills and limiting one of the biggest complaints of bike riding in a city: the sweat factor. On-demand service will give customers an alternative to waiting for a bus or hailing a cab for short trips. Modular onboard cargo-racks will free people from the necessity of getting into a car to run simple errands that could just be done on a bike.
We have done extensive research into how we would deploy this solution and have modeled pricing that would be highly competitive with currently available options. If you would like more information on this project or would like to partner with us please contact Pablo Gabatto.
